Case Study - The app that asks you to close it
Rewyld is a walking meditation platform built for people who can't sit still. 10-minute guided outdoor practices, a certified guide network, and an iOS app — where success is measured by time spent off-screen.

Overview
When do you feel most alive? Screens everywhere. Endless tasks. Constant thinking. Modern life keeps us in our heads. Rewyld was built for the moment you remember there's another way.
Step outside. Press play. Walk for ten minutes with a guide in your ear. Then put the phone away. No streak counters. No gamified breathing. No push notifications pulling you back. The app measures its own success by the minutes you spend not using it — a philosophy that shapes every design decision we made.
The practices are rooted in three principles: awareness through relationship (not isolation — you meet this oak, this stone, this November morning), embodiment (cold air on skin, rough bark under hands, ground beneath feet), and the conviction that modern people carry ancient knowing in their bodies. You can't think your way into presence. You feel your way in.
We built the full ecosystem from strategy through launch: a Next.js web platform with Supabase for real-time data, Mapbox for location-aware practices, Claude AI for personalized practice matching, a React Native iOS app, and the infrastructure for a two-sided marketplace connecting certified guides with seekers. The guide network now serves Kripalu, outdoor training programs, and independent practitioners.
The architecture mirrors the philosophy — lightweight, responsive to place, and built to step aside.
